The average length of stay to graduate from the program is 7 months. The physical, emotional and social benefits to the women who succeed with the program are obvious, but there’s also a monetary benefit to individual counties, as these women are provided treatment that’s needed instead of incurring expenses associated with incarceration.

Jeffersonville, IN 47130

Mission

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed psychiatric hospital and outpatient center for children, adolescents and adults. What separates Wellstone from all others is absolute dedication to the respect of each individual human being, with an emphasis on restoring hope. Our goal is to strengthen the spirit by identifying coping strategies and supporting each person's efforts.

Services

  • “Stepping Stones To Recovery” is for adults ages 18 and older, and provides 24-hour nursing care for detox in a locked, secure setting. The basic function of treatment is to provide the environment for the chemically dependent person to begin the process of personal growth free from chemicals.
  • Inpatient Detox is a short term treatment program designed to detoxify the adult’s physical body, and provide the opportunity to get on the path to lifelong sobriety. This is the first step towards giving an adult the means of maintaining sobriety and preventing relapse.
  • Our five-week addiction intensive outpatient program treats adults 18 and over, and adults in need of various levels of clinical care, but without the restrictions and structure of an inpatient setting. There is very little interruption of one's family and existing social supports. There are group therapy sessions and a family education session each week.
